Bella Senior Session

Bella.  I have always loved that name.  It just sounds so elegant and classy to me. My family goes to church with Bella and her family.   When they asked me to shoot Bella's senior session, I was thrilled!  She is such a beauty and her personality is precious.  Bella plays basketball at our local high school and let me tell you, this girl has some extreme talent when it comes to art.  She showed me a picture she'd painted of our church and Oh. My. Goodness. Gracious.  It was gorgeous!  I have no doubt this young lady will achieve whatever she sets her mind to.  My hope is that she will take the art world by storm!

Kasi Senior Shoot

Kasi is such a beautiful young lady.  I admit, I am super jealous of her hair!  She plays basketball as well as soccer for our local high school.  We had so much fun the day of her shoot.  We talked about her plans for the future and she mentioned she's thought about getting into photography one day.   Of course, I thought that was a wonderful plan!  ;)   No matter what this young lady decides to do, I know she will have no problems reaching her goals.

Tamera & Dameion

One of my favorite things to photograph are weddings!  It's always an honor to be asked to capture those precious memories.  When the lovely Tamera asked me to shoot her and her (then) fiancĂ© Dameion's wedding, of course I said yes!  These two are a match made in Heaven.

Pieces of My Heart

Close to two months ago, I wanted to do something a little different for my portfolio.  I decided to take some photos of places that were special to me when I was growing up.  It was such a wonderful day, driving around the community I grew up in, just me, my camera, and my memories.

More Fourth Of July Minis

Tracy's firework stand has been a big success! The kids love playing with it, while getting their pictures taken.  I love taking their pictures, while they are playing.  And their parent's love how cute those pictures turn out.  :)

Madison

Since my sister passed away when I was little, the closest things to siblings I have are the cousins I grew up with.  (And with my momma having 11 siblings and my dad having 3... I was blessed with a LOT of cousins.)  Now that we're all grown up with kids of our own,  I consider their children my nieces and nephews.  Madison is one of my "nieces."  I always love taking Madie's pictures.  She is the perfect combo of her momma and her daddy and I sure am proud of her!

Fourth Of July Sessions Have Begun

Besides Christmas, Summer time is my absolute favorite time of year.  I love having the kids home from school.  I love the warm weather.  I love running barefoot while catching lightning bugs with my kids.  I love to sit on the front porch while sipping on an iced tea.  And I love, love, love the 4th of July!

Tonight was the first round of my 4th of July mini sessions.  I've got to give a shout out to my husband, Tracy.  He built my firework's stand and I think it's awesome!   I have to say, I am a pretty blessed lady.  <3

Toes In The Sand

While editing our family photos from the beach the thought crossed my mind that I would love to be able to take photos of other families with their toes in the sand.  However, driving to the beach from East Tennessee might be too long of a drive for a photo shoot.   So, I decided to offer the next best thing: pictures on the lake.   My first shoot on the lake is the K family.  And what a lovely family they are!  J is a fellow photographer, R is an artist, and S is an adorable ray of sunshine!

District 12

We recently went on vacation to Myrtle Beach, SC.  On our way back home we decided to take a small detour to visit Darlington and then Henry River Mill Village.  (Or as it is known to fans of the Hunger Games: District 12.)  Our daughter Raylee is a huge Hunger Games fan and has wanted to visit District 12 for years.  So getting her picture taken in the iconic places from the movie was a dream come true, for her.  Our son Gavin isn't really into the HG saga.  He's all about cars, trucks, 4-wheelers, basically anything with wheels. (Hence the stop at Darlington.) However, he did let me take a few pictures of him.  My favorite being one in front of the bakery.  I only wish I had planned for this and brought along a white apron and a burnt loaf of bread.  Maybe next time.

On a side note, today is mine and the hubs 18th wedding anniversary. 18 years!  Wow.  Happy anniversary Tracy.  Time really does fly when you're having fun.

Almost three years

It's going on three years since I started my photography business.  In these three years I have met some amazing people, gotten reacquainted with old friends, had a couple great mentors, and have had a lot of fun!  I am so very thankful for my wonderful clients. And I'm thankful to be doing what I love.  Now, if I could just remember to use this blog.....  ;)
